If you are a client of ours you are already likely familiar with our attorney Matt Ormsby. Matt has been our lead hearings attorney for several years. He is an expert on getting people approved for Social Security Disability Benefits at their disability hearings. Apart from that, he is a kind caring person who helps our clients feel calm and secure at their hearing.

We are pleased to announce that Matt has taken over as our lead attorney and president of Mountain West Disability. Under his leadership we hope to continue to flourish in providing the very best legal services for those who are unable to work due to a disability.

Matt was born and raised in Clearfield Utah. For his undergraduate he attended Utah State University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Management and a minor in International Business. Even back then he had a passion for helping the disabled and worked as the directory of USU’s Special Olympics Team. This team provided year-round training and athletic competitions for people with intellectual disabilities.

After graduating from USU Matt attended law school at the University of Virginia where he received his J.D. Matt’s wife Jaime has a disabled brother and plays an active role in the disability community. She also teaches a course on disability at Salt Lake Community College.

When Matt is not winning disability claims he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. He enjoys reading, skiing, mountain biking, and hiking. Congratulations Matt we couldn’t be more excited for you!
